War Stories (Please share yours)

If you've been in the trenches, you've got some war stories. I'll get the ball rolling here.


During the recording of the Bee Gees ESP album I reached over to grab an EQ knob, out of nowhere the hand of Arif Mardin reaches across the console and slaps my hand. Shocked I look over at Arif. He shakes his head and says "You kids, You always grab for the EQ. Go move the mic." I was amazed at how moving the mic a tiny bit made such a huge sonic difference.
