A dependable machine

I used to work for UB-40 at their DEP studio in Birmingham UK. I moved here from Townhouse, and though the MTR-90 wasn’t up to the standards of the Studer A800 mkiii, it had a sound of its own.


Recently a mate got one and I lined it up for him. There’s a certain “utilitarian” quality about them, with their steel doors hiding the circuit cards. Those were the days....
