Jack Mullin's collection included two German Magnetophons. One of which was at the Pavek Museum in St Louis Park, MN, right next to am ampex 200(A?).

Ampex 200 vs. 200A
by: Chris Juried

Hi Eddie,

I wanted to add that I believe the model 200, though few made, were delivered and used for military applications. The 200A became the unit manufactured, in quantity, for consumer/commercial use.

Best,

Chris

Jack Mullin AMPEX 200 or 200A
by: Chris Juried

Hi Eddie,

As I understand it, there were very few AMPEX 200 units made, as the manufactured version of the 200, was formally the 200A. Do you have a photo of the machine(s) in Jack's collection? It would be nice to have a photographical reference. Thanks!

Best,

Chris
